Eligibility
Any swimmer who is comfortable putting their face in the water and kicking is welcome. We will teach competitive strokes. To swim in a meet, swimmers must have passed the deep end test with a Hillcrest Lifeguard.
You do not need to be a member of the pool to participate on the swim team. However, you will only be allowed in the pool during your scheduled practices and for meets. Any other time you will not be allowed on the pool grounds unless you have a membership.
Parents and siblings accompanying their children on the swim team ARE NOT permitted to be in the pool at ANY time. Anyone found to be in the pool that is not participating in the swim team practice will be removed immediately and without refund. This is for safety reasons.
Practice
While BCPS is in session:
Friday: 8 and under – 4:15pm – 4:45 & 9 and up – 4:45pm – 5:30.
Once school lets out:
Monday – Thursday: 8 and under – 8:30am – 9:15 & 9 and up – 9:15am – 10:15
Meets
June 26 – Home – Warm-ups 5pm / Meet start 6pm
July 12 – Merrit – Warm-ups 5pm / Meet start 6pm
July 27 – Merrit – Warm-ups 5pm / Meet start 6pm
Other Important Dates
Kids Ice Cream Social / Parent Meeting Mon June 19th at 7pm
End of the year awards and Potluck Friday July 28th at 6pm
